wish power

Make-A-Wish UK

Owning a spa pool is one of the many types of wishes that Make-A-Wish grant to children fighting life-threatening conditions.

These spa pool wishes can be enjoyed by the whole family and provide many physical and emotional benefits for seriously ill children, particularly those with limited movement due to neurological conditions and muscle diseases. Here’s a list of the many benefits!

The wishes we grant to children with life-threatening conditions are transformational – they bring hope, strength and incredible amounts of resilience.

Here are some inspirational quotes from wish parents, staff and doctors on the power of a wish and the emotional resilience it can bring to a seriously ill child…

Claire, wish mum

Claire, mother of wish child Milo, wrote to us a year after her son's wish to say thank you and explain what the wish really meant to them.

1. John, Florrie's dad

"It’s wonderful when we can come all together and forget about Florence being poorly and just spending time together, truly wonderful"

FLORRIE her mum and dad laughing

Four year old Florrie is fighting a rare form of cancer. She loves anything to do with princesses so wished to be transformed into a princess for the day! The wish gave Florrie and her family the chance to have precious time together away from the realities of her condition.

1. Zoe, Leighton's mum

"To let him do what he wanted was absolutely amazing"

Zoe was devastated when she found out her son had a rare type of blood cancer when he was just a few months old. His condition has meant that he's been in and out of hospital. For Zoe, it was so special being able to watch him have some independence and lots of fun on his Disneyland wish!
