If your child, or a child you know has been granted a wish (or will be soon!) we’d love to hear from you.
How to share your story
Real stories, photos and videos from the Make-A-Wish community help people understand what we do, why we do it, and how other people can support our work.
- They inspire people to fundraise for us, so we can reach more wish children.
- They raise awareness of some medical conditions.
- They inform people about the impact of critical illness on childhoods.
- They drive home the long-term impact that a wish can have.
We’re always happy to give people a voice - to enable them to share their experiences, in their own words, in a way that suits them.
So if you would like to send us a story, a memory, a letter, a video an audio message or a piece of advice to explain how a wish brought your family together or how you were motivated to volunteer or fundraise for us, see our contact details below.
A member of our content team will then give you a call to talk this through - and say thank you!
Where might your story feature?
- Your story could be hosted on any of the following channels:
- our website
- our social media channels
- in a presentation
- in leaflets, posters, banners or mailings
- It could be featured by the media or by our corporate partners to explain how businesses can support our work.
- You could also give a (virtual) talk to a school, at an event or to an organisation, or speak on radio or TV about your involvement with Make-A-Wish.
It all adds up to raising awareness of what we do. But it's your choice and your voice.

Please include the following information:
Full Name
Your age (if under 18)
Wish child's name and age (if applicable)
The names of any other family members featured and their relationship to you
Your phone number
Send your story to us via one of the following channels:

Call us on 01276 405060 and ask to speak to the Content Team about your story.
On Social Media
Follow our channels and tag us in your social media posts using @MakeAWishUK or send us a direct message.
By Post
Post a letter to us at: Marketing, Make-A-Wish UK, Thames Tower, Station Road, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 1LX.
We can't guarantee that we'll feature every story sent to us but we’ll let you know we’ve received your message and will discuss any opportunities with you.
