GameStars x Father's Day

Since lockdown was announced, gaming has been on the rise. A recent YouGov poll showed that before lockdown 30% of households with a gamer said they gamed for more than 10 hours a week, now half of gaming households are playing for more than 10 hours a week**.

That’s a lot of Fortnite!

Did you know that four in five children describe gaming as ‘very important’ to them and that half of dads agree gaming is a way to spend quality time together as a family?* We know that over a third of you are already gaming to spend quality time together so this Father’s Day we are asking you and your family to become #GameStars.

Our #GameStars game to grant wishes

Wish children playing video games at the GameStars launch event.

For many of our wish children, playing computer games isn't just a hobby it's a way of escaping their illness. Gaming takes them away from the reality of daily life with a serious illness. For some it may be their only respite. It allows them to be themselves and stay connected with friends and family without the confines of illness, hospital and treatment.

There are so many ways you can get involved either through your own fundraising challenge, live stream or by donating to GameStars fundraisers.
